1° EUROPEAN FOOTBALL IN SCHOOLS PROJECT

An individual and team competition to promote the remote participation of teachers and students, through a didactic and sporting proposal of individual training created by FA’s coaches.

Competition open to students from 11 to 13 years of 11 Euro 2020 hosting countries/cities.

REGISTRATION

Registrations are open from 26th April 2021

The competition is open to all students aged 11-13 from 11 Euro 2020 host countries/cities.
Schools can register by filling in the form.
Each registered school will be able to access the School Area with the email address and password indicated at the time of registration.

CONTEST RULES

Teachers and students of each school registered to UEFA Football in School can access the reserved area of the website www.fis.uefa.com and making their own contributions to the following technical and educational challenges:

TECHNICAL/SPORTING CHALLENGES REQUIRED

Students will have to create and upload on website their own videos of responses to each of the 11 technical-sports challenges introduced by explanatory videos by FA’s coaches.
They can use video tool for live recording, with a webcam, or by uploading a video. Each participant may upload one or more videos, indicating for each the score obtained in their performance.

RAP CHALLENGE OPTIONAL

Using the audio tool to record or by uploading a file with a maximum duration of 120 seconds, students will have to compose and perform one or more rap songs on the importance of teamwork in football as in life.

SHORT STORY OPTIONAL

Students can write a story about their own experience during the last pandemic year through the collaborative writing tool.

FOOTBALL RULES QUIZ OPTIONAL

Students will have to answer a multiple-choice quiz on football rules to promote knowledge and respect for rules, in football and in life.

CONTEST GALLERIES

SCHOOL GALLERY (filterable by challenge and sorted by scores)

with all the video (technical-sports challenges) and audio (rap challenge) contributions entered by students from the same school. The teacher will act as moderator by removing any offensive, inappropriate or off topic content.

 

INTERNATIONAL GALLERY (filterable by state/city and challenge and sorted by scores)

with all the video and audio contributions of the registered schools from all 11 cities.
In this gallery, each teacher will be able to vote only videos of the other schools, assigning a maximum of 1 Like (star) for each audio and video contribution.

For each school and challenge, only the video with the highest score will be included in the International Gallery. In case of a tie, the system will automatically select the first uploaded video.

RANKINGS AND PRIZES

The 1st classified for each cities will be defined on the basis of:

  • Best individual score in technical-sporting challenges
  • Sum of the average scores obtained in each technical-sporting challenge
  • Total number of videos uploaded by each school
  • Total number of likes received for uploaded videos (technical-sporting challenge) and audio tracks (rap challenge)

 

ADDITIONAL SCORES

Additional Scores (credits) will also be awarded for all schools that also participate in:

  • Rap Challenge, recording one or more tracks
  • Short story, writing in several hands their own short story (participation open to all students enrolled in the same school)
  • Football rules quiz, answering questions useful to know the rules of football

 

A Voting Bonus will also be awarded to schools that actively participate by voting for videos and audio tracks from other participating schools.
The ranking will be published on the website at the end of the competition.

IN CASE OF A MATCH BETWEEN ONE OR MORE SCHOOLS, priority will be given to the sum of the best individual scores in the 11 challenges.
